Field-Ready operates a web-based training platform for building automation and HVAC controls professionals. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have regarding your data.

Field-Ready is free and open, and does not require an account or login. We do not collect names, passwords, or payment information. If you choose to contact us or join our email list, we collect the email address, and any message, that you submit through those forms.
Information Collected Automatically
When you use Field-Ready, we may automatically collect certain technical data including your IP address and approximate location (country/region), browser type and version, device type and operating system, pages visited and features used within the platform, and session duration and timestamps. This data is used for security monitoring, product improvement, and diagnosing issues. It is not sold or shared with advertisers.

7. Cookies and Local Storage
Field-Ready does not set login, advertising, or third-party tracking cookies. Our analytics provider (Vercel) does not use cookies; it derives anonymized visit counts server-side without storing anything on your device. We use browser localStorage to save functional preferences such as your display theme and lesson progress. This data stays on your device, is never transmitted to our servers, and is used solely to make the platform work correctly. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.
8. International Data Transfers
Field-Ready is operated from the United States. If you access the platform from outside the US, your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States. We take steps to ensure that any such transfers are protected in accordance with applicable law.
9. Children's Privacy
Field-Ready is intended for users 18 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by displaying a notice in the platform at least 14 days before the changes take effect. The updated policy will be available at our website with a revised effective date.
